What Did They Say?

Here at the Morning Show, we keep a keen eye out for interesting Rock-N-Roll stories and happenings that may entertain, inform and most importantly, provide a distraction from the World at Large when you need it.   That’s why we share this story about a little lagniappe from the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame folks.  What’s the best thing about Cleveland in the winter?  Probably not being in Cleveland, especially if you’re from the deep south.  Fortunatley, we can stay in our toasty climate and thrill to…induction speeches from ceremonies gone by!  When the artist says “I remember when these guys…” take a shot.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is launching its very own podcast for music royalty, the “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Vault” will premiere tomorrow (Friday) featuring replays of the most famous induction ceremony speeches from the past 35 years. Included in some of the first few episodes, the Beatles inducted by Mick Jagger (1988) and the Eagles inducted by Jimmy Buffet (1998).  In some cases, the podcast will feature previously unreleased material because HOF speeches are often shortened for TV broadcast.  You deserve the Full Monty, right?
