I made some new friends, that rock with 98Rocks at Barksdale Air Force Base, that are from the New England area. A few told me that they’ve mentioned 98Rocks to family back home, and that some of the friends and family in New England stream our station from 98Rocks.fm on their computers & phones. Very cool! The folks that I met mentioned that they love it down here in the ArkLaTex, but when I told them that I have family in the New England area, and I get up that way to visit every few years, they told me about some places that I might want to check out the next time that I’m in the New England region. I told them that I’d get a blog up on the website, that might remind them of home.
Though the winters are very popular times for the New England area, as the snow ski resorts are packed, we’ve chosen to go during the summer. We roll around Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts to visit family, but also see the mountain views, try the foods of the region & visit some of the sites. I do enjoy visiting friends and family in that region of the nation, but I must say that it always good to get back home. That seems to be the case every time that I roam a good distance from the ArkLaTex. There are many other photos, along with some info that I provide (that I pieced together from my wife’s spiral notebook of the many places we’ve been to over the years) in the Journal section at www.TomsMaHaul.com . You’ll find several other places that we’ve been to, but I have so many journeys to post in the coming weeks & months.
