Hello Weekend!
Here comes another weekend, and if you aren’t on the road, heading over the river and through the woods to Granny’s joint to work on a food coma, you’ll find plenty to do right here in our own back yard to help you work up an appetite for the big feast. Couple items of note:
The Scottish Rite Antique and Vintage Bazaar is this weekend, at the one hundred and three year old Scotish Rite Cathedral on Cotton Street in Shreveport. If you love browsing rarities from pickers all across the country, this may be your cup of tea. Bonus, you can tour the cathedral and revel in some pretty majestic architecture. Food trucks on the scene too, such a deal! Info here: https://www.sbfunguide.com/event/scottish-rite-antique-bazaar-new-dates-nov-20-22/9402/
Last chance to grab fresh produce and more on Saturday at the Bossier City Farmers Market in the Pierre Bossier Mall parking lot. Going to be something there you just gotta have for Thanksgiving. I am making a list. More here:http://www.bossiercityfarmersmarket.com/
Paramount’s Pink Floyd 3D Lazer Spectacular is Saturday night at Texarkana’s Perot Theater. Put on a mellow mood and let the lights and sounds of the Mother of all Psychedelic Bands take you to another plane…. Detals: http://www.trahc.org/perot-theatre-series/32513-pink-floyd-laser-spectacular
Mutts Gone Nuts!! This is at the Strand Saturday afternoon, and sounds like a lot of fun. Matter of fact, I was looking forward to this back in May, but it was re-scheduled due to covid. They promise a “Comedy dog thrill show” complete with live action high-wire dogs, flying frisbee dogs, dancing dogs and more. It’s a circus, and the pups are the stars of the big top. And of course, more rockin’ action always available 24/7 at 98 Rocks Gig Guide from LA Batteries: https://www.98rocks.fm/events/category/gig-guide-events/
And my pup Mocha, not much for jumping through flaming hoops, but amazing just the same…
