New day, new month! Here are a few things to look forward to in November . . .
Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday. So we “gain” an hour of sleep, but for those of us who’d rather not jack with the clock at all it’s a small consolation.
The World Series continues tonight . . . the new NBA season is just getting started . . . the MLS playoffs are underway . . . and the NASCAR Cup Series Championship is this Sunday.
Sofia Coppola’s new Priscilla Presley biopic, “Priscilla”, opens wide this Friday, the latest Marvel movie “The Marvels” hits theaters a week later.
“Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” arrives on the 17th, along with Eli Roth’s new horror flick, “Thanksgiving”.
Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon” with Joaquin Phoenix opens on the 22nd . . . so does the new Disney movie, “Wish” . . . and “Maestro” with Bradley Cooper as Leonard Bernstein also opens that day.
On the tube, a new “Love Island” spin-off “Love Island Games” hits Peacock today, Showtime’s new series “The Curse”, with Nathan Fielder and Emma Stone, premieres on the 10th., as does season four of “For All Mankind” on Apple TV. Season five of “Fargo” arrives on FX the 21st.
If you care much for the award shows, (and who ain’t thrilled by ’em) the Grammy nominees get announced next Friday, and the Billboard Music Awards are November 19th.
Veterans Day is on the 11th, and Thanksgiving on the 23rd. Plus…this Friday is National Sandwich Day . . . Monday is National Nachos Day . . . the 13th is World Kindness Day . . . the 24th is BLACK FRIDAY . . . and Cyber Monday is the 27th.
Don’t forget the Louisiana State Fair continues through the 12th, and we’ll be looking for you at the Brit Floyd concert at Municipal on the 25th!
