While many have claimed sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, there isn’t any scientific proof that the creature actually exists. That is until now.
Professor Neil Gemmell from the University of Otago in New Zealand, along with his global team, is cataloging the DNA of anything that has traveled through the famed Scottish waters.
Gemmell will release the findings in September, noting, “One theory remains plausible” on Nessie’s existence.
Hopefully, Gemmell is successful in proving the mythical monster is real, as tourists numbering in the hundreds of thousands flock to the area each year hoping to catch a glimpse, driving the economy.
