Inconsistent and scattered state-by- state policies could cause new COVID-19 hot spots, according to some of the nation’s top public health experts.
One epidemiologist from Boston Children’s Hospital told ABC News “I think Texas is going to be the next hot spot. Any intervention we do now will take weeks to see the impact.”
One former FDA commissioner tweeted that he believes Florida is also at risk, writing “Florida continues to show an acceleration in new COVID-19 cases.” adding that Miami seems to be a new epicenter for spread.
