In 1980, David Bowie and his wife Angie divorce after almost ten years of marriage. Their nine year old son Zowie Bowie is given to David who takes custody at the time. Angie received a $51,000.00 settlement in the divorce, and has never spoken to her son again.

In 1988, The who reunites for their 25th anniversary with the surviving members performing on the televised British Phonographic Industry Awards show in London. They do a three song medley of “My Generation”, “Substitute”, and “Who Are You” that runs long past their allotted time which forces the next award recipient Rick Astley, to receive his award after the televised show was over.

In 2005, Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings of the Guess Who are inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
