This ain’t my kind of record!

Sunday was the hottest day on record in Shreveport for the month of July. The temperature reached a scorching 108 degrees! This was the actual air temp which is measured 4 feet above the ground in the shade. The previous record of 107 degrees was set on July 16, 1875, and most recently matched on July 31, 1998, according to the National Weather Service. The official record of 108 doesn’t account for the humidity either. 108 degrees in Phoenix is different than the same temp here. No rain in the immediate forecast and August is still to come! Somebody find the remote and fast forward us past this oven like madness. Stay cool and keep on rocking with the Home of Rock and Roll!
