The Early Report

Skipping the morning bike ride due to laziness and cooler temperatures.  Pretty stiff breeze too, so I’ll wait until the afternoon to get my two-wheel cardio workout in, and stay out of the elements for now.  Wishing I was still at the lake warming up beside a raging fire.  With overnight lows in the 40’s this weekend, I’ll probably have a fire going when I roll out on Saturday.

Speaking of Saturday, this is where I’d insert a hearty “Go Gators!” if not for the pandemic that has caused the postponement of the LSU-FLA game.  This means the Gator fans on  my block won’t be taunting the LSU fans.  I see a war of the leaf blowers coming instead. How many times can we sweep our entire yard and adjacent pavement, and for what duration each time?  Ahh, the endless whine blower motors, resonating throughout the neighborhood.   The weather will be perfect for it anyway, and once the blowers are finally put away, the barbecues will start smokin’!  Great weather, tidy properties, and it will smell awful good to boot!  Bring on the weekend indeed.
