South Bossier PROUDLY Supports Our Troops!

When they dropped the cover from the outside of the South Bossier City water tower, I was pleasantly surprised! The water tower is one of the first things that I view every morning, when I’m opening the curtains, before I start pouring my first cup of coffee.

There are folks serving at Barksdale Air Force Base and other places around Shreveport-Bossier, and so many military families live in our neighborhoods, with kids participating in our area schools.  I work with a wonderful young lady that is a spouse of fine young military man that is serving at Barksdale Air Force Base.  Many adults ended up here, because when they were children, their family members were stationed at Barksdale.  I’m glad my wife’s father got stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base, because that’s what put my wife and I together, as we dated while we were students at Parkway High School.  My wife’s parents were wonderful Americans!  They’re, both, now buried in Arlington National Cemetery.  The spouse is permitted to be buried on top of the soldier in Arlington National Cemetery.

I’m very grateful to those that have served, and those that are now serving in our nation’s military!  Thank you!
