Remembering a Great

Nierenmikrofon im Tonstudio

On what would have been his birthday, I take a moment to give tribute to a truly great voice artist who entertained us all with a tremendous talent to make our Saturday morning cartoons come to life!  The Great Mel Blanc, (1908 – 1989)  The Voice of Warner Brothers.  His amazing voices included Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety and Sylvester, Yosemite Sam, Foghorn Leghorn, and Barney Rubble on “The Flintstones”.

These days when I watch the talking-heads on the news, I often hear myself say “What a Maroon!”  Thanks for the memories, Mel!
