March Right In!
The month that welcomes the beginning of the spring season and Daylight Savings time has arrived, a day later than usual, but full of promise for a swift end to wintry weather. Not that we’ve had too much cold this past winter. The mildness seems to be persistent, and bugs and green sprouts are in abundance wherever you look. This month marks another journey around the sun for both my son and myself. And St. Patty’s Day, a favorite holiday of mine despite the fact there is not a speck of Irish in me blood, far as I know. But any excuse to drink green beer and gorge myself on corned-beef is okay with me. Plus we have the Second Annual Beard Bash going on this year, on the 14th, to add to the fun. Blarney! March 21st is the first official Saturday of spring, and you can catch Lynyrd Skynyrd https://www.98rocks.fm/event/lynyrd-skynyrd-travis-tritt-centurylink-center/ and maybe stop by Crawfest at Betty Virginia park both the 20th and 21st https://www.98rocks.fm/event/friday-saturday-crawfest-2020-betty-virginia-park/ and on the 21st, corndog lovers head to Benton to join Lady B. at the Corndog Busker Arts Festival. https://www.98rocks.fm/event/corn-dog-busker-arts-festival-to-benefit-camp-rain-man-simpson-street-park-benton-la/
More than likely I’ve forgotten one or two fun events, so keep it on 98 Rocks-The Home of Rock-N-Roll for more ways to crank-up the fun in the spring of 2020!
