Made it to the Grand Canyon!

I, finally, made it to the Grand Canyon. I’m very well traveled across the Eastern U.S., but never have been west of Texas, until now.  The ultimate goal was to make it to the Grand Canyon.  The Tom’sMaHaul home base was Railside RV Park in Williams, Arizona.  Nice place.  The Grand Canyon Railway goes right by our RV spot.  There’s snow on the mountain tops around here.  My wife and I rode the Grand Canyon Railway to the south rim of the canyon, and back.  It was a very entertaining, and enlightening, ride in the morning, and later, in the afternoon. Once at Grand Canyon, we rode the Grand Tour bus, and our driver took us to some places that not many get to see.  We got off of the bus, and some of us followed him to some out of the way places (his, personal, favorite views of the canyon).  The view of the Grand Canyon is amazing!  I couldn’t help but feel a little divinely inspired. What a HUGE canyon!  I investigated the History of the canyon, and found some different opinions on how it was formed.  Today, I’ll drive the Jeep to Marble Canyon, and back to the RV in time this evening, to prepare for our return trip this week.  I’m glad that my wife talked me into doing this journey for our 40th anniversary.
