Live music is hard to do without!
Live music came to a screeching halt like most everything else when the stay at home orders came down as a result of the Coronavirus. The local music scene was flourishing at local night clubs and restaurants before all of this. Festivals were scheduled as well a variety of shows at CenturyLink Center and other local venues. This time of year is great for live music and 2020 looked like it was going to be a banner year. Big tours like the Rolling Stones and The Who have been postponed indefinitely while some concerts and tours have just been cancelled. Fortunately, the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert originally scheduled for March 21st has already been rescheduled for Roctober 17th. Other concerts and tours are waiting to see how things develop before rescheduling begins. Jazz Fest has been postponed for the time being and may have trouble getting back some of the lineup they had scheduled. It has been hard for everyone, but I applaud the artists who have made an effort with a variety of online offerings. And recorded live concerts are being offered by many TV providers. Live music is sometimes our sanity and we should never take if for granite. We will get through this and have an even greater appreciation for live music and be oh so very grateful to have it back in our lives again.
Keep on rocking!
