Let’s Fly!

As the Red River Balloon Rally events get underway, I had the pleasure of being invited on a balloon ride with other media members this morning, and it’s an unforgettable experience.  KSLA’s Maranda Whittington and I boarded the basket, and were eye-to-eye with a brilliant sunrise moments later.  The voyage was smooth sailing, as we glided from LSUS up and over Red River, to come to a smooth touch-down on Teague parkway.  Make no mistake, the crew works hard to get these vessels in the air, pre and post-flight, but the reward is unique stillness while aloft, and of course the incredible views.  Thanks to everyone involved in  the Rally, we’ll see you for all the events this weekend as we “Color the Sky!”  More here:  https://www.98rocks.fm/event/red-river-balloon-rally-southeast-regional-balloon-championships-lsu-shreveport/
