Call me crazy, but I have this … feeling… that the LSU Tigers can upset #1 Alabama this Saturday. What’s crazy is the large points spread that the odds makers are releasing this week. Some predict Bama winning by 24+ points. I’ll be watching the game, with friends in the Texas Motor Speedway RV campgrounds. It usually times out perfectly every year, that we catch the tram from the track to our track camping area, following the NASCAR XFinity race, in time to watch the LSU/Alabama game. We’ll have some good-luck firewood to burn in the campfire, and Down Home sausages on the grill, while we watch the game on the outside TV in our Texas Motor Speedway camping area this Saturday. It would make for a perfect weekend, if…
- We ease through the heavy traffic on I-635 around Dallas, DFW airport, and onto 114 to the track, without encountering too much crazy traffic conjestion…and arrive safely in the TMS campgrounds.
- Great weather for the races this weekend at TMS, and warmer than the frigid weekend weather that we had in Jefferson last weekend. At this point, the weather looks perfect for all 3 NASCAR series races (Fri – Sun), but also great for our outdoor grillin, fire burning and yelling (as LOUD as we want), when LSU gets plenty of first downs and touchdowns/field goals, to upset the Crimson Tide. There’ll be a Roll Tide fan in attendance in our group, and if LSU can manage to win, us Geaux Tigers fans will try our best not to rub it in to much.
- Hoping 78 or 88 can win the NASCAR Monster Energy race on Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway. Hoping Chili Bowl Champion, Christopher Bell, can win the Friday night NASCAR Truck race in one of the Kyle Busch Motorsports team trucks, and that one of the JR Motorsports (Dale Jr’s team of 4 cars) can win the Saturday NASCAR Xfinity race.
- Safe, trouble-free, drive back to Bossier City on Monday
