I’ve always been a big fan of our local & regional bands. After viewing the 98Rocks.fm Gig Guide for a party to attend to ring in the new year (and new decade), I thought it would be cool to see how 2 bands (rotating performances) on the same stage, on the same night, was going to work out.
We booked our TomsMaHauL.com motorhome studio spot at Tyler Oaks RV Resort, and purchased our seats to attend the New Years Eve event at Brisket Love Barbecue & Icehouse in Lindale, Texas. There was a HUGE crowd of all ages, and plenty of partying and dancing going on. It was cool to see Lee Mathis & The Brutally Handsome (band) and Teazur, rotate their performances for non-stop music throughout the New Years Eve party. I was, pleasantly, surprised to meet some 98Rocks fans in this region, and even saw some friends from the Shreveport-Bossier area that made the journey for this event. My thinking was, great BBQ & my baby, with couple of great local bands, would be a great way leave a decade, and rock into a new decade.
While in the Lindale/Tyler area, we visited Tyler State Park, to see if it would be good for a future TomsMaHauL.com rv journey. We, also visited many other interesting areas throughout the area, and found some places that we’d like to explore on a future trip to the piney woods region. I invite you to check out more photos & other info about the final TomsMaHauL motorhome journey of 2019 HERE.
