Tom @ Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department Cruise Nights (3rd Friday of Every Month)

We brought the Tom’sMaHaul motorhome, along with the ’69 Malibu/Chevelle to Jefferson, for a Friday Night Cruise Night, to benefit the Jefferson (Tx) Volunteer Fire Department. The benefit cruise nights are held on the third Fridays of every month. We attended a few of these events last year, and this is our first one to attend this year. It’s always fun to hang out with car people. Along with all of the cool cars and trucks in attendance, I spotted one of the coolest rat rods that I’ve seen in awhile. It was great to hang out with Frank and his better half, during the show. Frank has a fine Camaro, that was parked right across from our Chevy, near the Jefferson General Store. I had to get a milk shake at the General Store, while the event was going on. There were some great prizes given away, to benefit the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department.

With improving weather, we’ll attend another day of the 15th Annual Riverport International Vintage Motocross races at Diamond Don’s Event Center & RV Park.

Diamond Don & Francene (aka MotoMama) have been so busy hosting this huge event, and I hope to find them at the races today. Great turnout for the vintage motocross event, as the Jefferson hotels, bed & breakfasts, bar & restaurants were crowded throughout the weekend, as well as the RV spaces at Diamond Don’s.
