…the levee was…? Well, today the levee might be dry, but possible rain in areas of the ArkLaTex this weekend. I’m ready to get the ’69 Malibu Chevelle out and about, to a car show, or gathering of car people. We have taken the Chevy out of the garage, and gone for a spin, during the frigid month of January. I, mostly, did that to move the fluids and charge the battery, but was glad that the car’s heater worked, perfectly (when it was 18 degrees a month ago). Today’s warmer temperatures have me wanting to take a ride to Jefferson, or out around Lake Bistineau, with the windows down & radio turned up (on 98.1 fm, of course). Ron, out at Our Place Bar & Grill (on Lake Bistineau), has talked about doing a car/truck show out that way. I’ll let you know if I hear any further word on that. Jefferson Cruise Nights, will surely return on Friday evenings, when we get closer to the Spring season. I enjoyed being at some of those events last year, to benefit the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department. It’s cool to hang out with car people (that, actually, drive their cars, trucks & rat rods to area gatherings).
In the meantime, my focus is on the … here & now. Rockin’ at work. Thanks for rockin’ on your vehicle radio, as well as the 98Rocks app on your mobile device & online at 98Rocks.fm It’s time for me to get behind the wheel here, and ROCK!
