Do you remember Robert Cray at Hirsch?

It was March of 1987 and Huey Lewis and the News were headlining at Hirsch Memorial Coliseum. The opening act was The Robert Cray Band in support of a new album Strong Persuader. I had heard very little of his music prior to this new album but some friends told me he was great at Jazz Fest one year. It turned out to be a great concert and we thoroughly enjoyed both bands and wrapped up the night with a 98 Rocks After-Concert-Party at the Dog and Bird Club. Good music and good memories in the early days of 98 Rocks.

Tonight we will play the entire album Strong Persuader at midnight on the 98 Rocks Album Archive. Smoking Gun, Right Next Door, and lots of good songs on this album.
