Tom's Travels: LIARS RV Group - Thanksgiving At Lake Bistineau State Park
LIARS pose for group photo at Lake Bistineau State Park #1 Rally area
I joined the LIARS (Louisiana Independent Association of Recreation Specialists) at Lake Bistineau State Park #1, for an RV gathering in the Rally area. Ranger Frank and the other Lake Bistineau State Park employees were very friendly and kept checking to see if we needed anything. The lake may be low on water, but the park is well maintained and there have been some new additions to RV camping areas. The Rally area is an excellent choice, if you have a large group of RVers that are pitching in on the cost. There are around 10 RV spots in the Rally area, with 30 & 20amp power posts and water fawcets. In the Rally area, there is an outside fire pit, and inside fire pit. There's a fridge and freezer inside the Rally building, as well as bathrooms, plenty of tables and power outlets and a lot of room to set up your food. I applaud the great staff at Lake Bistineau State Park on the effort that they displayed, to welcome campers and offer assistance (if needed).
